Match Day 12 (November 7th 2021) Report


Whitestone have increased their lead at the top of Mark Blair Mortgage & Finance Division Two to six points thanks to their 11-2 win over Bedworth Liberals Res and second placed Royal Athletic losing at Ashby Road Sports. Adam Barber, Jenson Newey and Todd Lovitt all scored twice for Whitestone, Luke Edwards, Jack Edwards, Cameron Henson, Jack Barr, and Bradley Capener all added singles. Nick Richardson gave Ashby Road an early lead with Jamie Hughes sealing victory three minutes from time.

Collycroft Royal Oak Warriors moved int third spot after they beat Stoneycroft United 6-2. Jack Birchall helped himself to a hat trick, Joris Wassa 2, Taylor Blyth the singles. Aaron Moore and Ryan Oswald replied for Stoneycroft. SS Bulls Head slip to fourth following their 7-2 defeat to Athletico Duke. Connor Pugh bagged four of the Athletico goals, Matt Ellis, Nathan Goddard, and Ben Wright the others. Kyle Olner and Tom Macey replied for SS Bulls Head. Crows Nest Sports occupy sixth spot after they beat Acorn 5-3. Tom Bird and George Arnold both scored twice for Crows Nets, Owen Harrison the other. Jordan White 2 and Damian Pierce scored the Acorn replies. 

Drayton Res had the lead at the top of EJ Group Division One trimmed to a single point by Hansom Cabs after they lost 5-1 to the second placed team. Griff & Coton Manor are level on points with Hansom Cabs in third thanks to their 3-0 win over Bedworth Travellers. Joe Smith-Walker bagged four goals for Chetwynd Phoenix as they went on to beat Bedworth Liberals 5-2. Elliot Chamberlain scored their other goal. 

Grendon lost their 100% record in Bond St Trophies Hinckley Premier One but remain unbeaten and top of the table. Brad Booker, Alan Carlberg and James Yardley all found the net as they drew 3-3 with Lamb & Flag. Ashley Gilder 2 and Jamie Bennett scored the Lamb & Flag goals. Second placed Poplar beat Hartshill Sports 2-0 thanks to goals from Luke Worwood and Joe Miles. Ryan Millerchip bagged a hat trick for Drayton as they went on to beat Witherley Utd 5-2. Jack Colley and Dave Barnett also found the net for Drayton, Jordan Coles scored both Witherley goals. Lee Waters scored twice, Guy Bisset the other as Fuzzy Duck beat Haunchwood Sports 3-1. 

Trent Valley now have a two-point lead at the top of Nuneaton Trophies & Giftware Division Three after they beat Attleboro Sports 9-0. Daniel Cassidy, Chris Camwell and Michael Sadler all scored twice, Ben Mann, Matty Good and Sam Forsyth added the singles. Sunnyside Inn also bagged nine goals as they beat CJ’s Athletic 9-2. Liam Roberts and Brandon Watkins scored the CJ’s goals. 

Grendon Res still have their 100% record intact at the top of Raihan’s Indian Takeaway Division Four after they beat Lamb & Flag Res 4-0. Corey Bates, Paul Tyler, Dann Olner and Charlie Gilks all found the net for Grendon. Second placed Coniston lost 2-1 to Tarro Lounge Caterpillar while Phoenix Utd drew level on points with Coniston thanks to their 4-1 win over Griff & Coton Manor Res.

Bermuda Park returned from Red Lion (Barwell) with 3 points, with Darcy Redman-Smith, Jake Saville and Lewis Pavis securing the win. Luke Newton replied for the Lion.
