NUNEATON & DISTRICT SUNDAY FOOTBALL LEAGUE 

MATCH DAY 24- REPORT (SUNDAY FEBRUARY 13th 2022)

HANSOM CAB FC - MOVE TO THE TOP OF LEAGUE ONE
Acorn inflicted a first league defeat of the season on Mark Blair Mortgage & Finance Division Two leaders Whitestone when goals from Damien Pierce and Steve Merry earned them a 2-1 win. Collycroft Royal Oak Warriors are now level on points with Whitestone thanks to their 8-4 win over Crows Nest Sports. Chris Camwell bagged a hat trick for Collycroft, Jamie Matthews and Dylan Ashfield scored two apiece. Tom Bird replied with a hat trick for Crows Nest, Sam Hall scored their other goal. Lee Lovett scored twice for Athletico Duke as they also won 2-1 in beating Swan Dive.

Brady Middleton’s hat trick helped Fuzzy Duck to a 4-1 win over Grendon in Bond Street Trophies Premier Division. Charlie Cook scored their other goal. Lamb & Flag moved off the bottom after they also won 4-1. Ash Gilder, 2, Curtis Moreton and Jamie Parrott all found the net in the win over Witherley Utd.

Hansom Cabs are back on top of EJ Group Ltd. Division One thanks to a 4-0  win over Bedworth Liberal while a hat trick form Rees Swain helped Griff & Coton Manor to a 5-3 win over Bedworth Conservatives. Josh Jarman scored the other two Griff goals, Lee Wallace replied with all three for Conservatives.

Both games in Nuneaton Trophies & Giftware Division Three ended in 3-2. Ryan Potter scored twice, Liam Potter the other as Attleborough FC beat Haunchwood Sports Res 3-2. Dean Hone, Daniel Parkes and Steve Pywell found the net for Sunnyside in their 3-2 win over Red Lion Sapcote. Kieran Almey and Josh Weaving replied for Red Lion.

Grendon Res maintained their six-point lead at the top of Raihan’s Indian Takeaway Division Four thanks to goals from Charlie Gilks and Steve Jakovlevs in their 2-0 win over Red Lion Barwell. Ryan Healey bagged a brace for Bermuda Park as they went on to beat Bedworth Bank Res 6-1. Ashley Mantack, Safa Limbu, Jake Saville and Danny Readman-Smith supplied the others.
