Match Day 4 (September 12th 2021) Report


SS Bulls Head maintained their three-point lead at the top of Mark Blair Mortgage & Finance Division Two with a 4-2 win over Crows Nest Sports. Connor Bates and Kaine Finch gave Bulls Head a 2-0 lead which Lew Alleston extended with a third goal. Crows Nest hit back to reduce the arrears to 3-2 before Ian McKay scored the fourth to seal the win.  Whitestone FC stay in second, goals from Jack Edwards, Adrian Barber and Daniel Hall helped second placed Whitestone to a 3-0 win over Ashby Road Sports while Royal Athletic were the days top scorers beating Bedworth Liberals Res 10-1. Reece Rawlings came off the bench to grab four of the goals, Ross Thacker, and Liam Taylor-Smith both scored twice, Tom Poultney and Dean Reeves added singles. Chris Hardiman scored the Liberals consolation. Collycroft Royal Oak Warriors move into fourth after they beat Acorn 5-2. Jamie Matthews scored four of those goals, Scott Williamson the other. Paul Johnson and Daniel Pountney replied for Acorn. Barwell Cricketers secured their first win of the season with a 3-2 win over Swan Dive. Ben Betty, Tom Duplock on his debut, and an own goal secured victory. 

Rogue Elite have a 100% record at the top of EJ Group Division One after they beat Saunders 8-0.  Bedworth Travellers move into second thanks to a 3-1 win over Bedworth Liberals. Kelvin Etheridge scored the Liberals goal. 

In Bond St Trophies Hinckley Premier One, Lamb & Flag FC moved into second after they beat Fuzzy Duck 3-1. Danny Moreton, Ash Gilder and Marcus Southwell scored their goals.  Haunchwood are into third spot but had to share the points in a 4-4 draw with Witherley United.  Hartshill Sports are off the bottom thanks to their 3-2 win over Frank Parker. Ashley Wilkes, Aiden Moore, and Darren Hutchinson all found the net for Hartshill. 

Thurlaston Magpies stay a point clear at the top of Nuneaton Trophies & Giftware Division Three after they beat Attleborough FC 4-2, while Red Lion Sapcote stay in second thanks to their 3-0 win over Sunnyside Inn. Trent Valley opened their league account with a 4- 1 win over Haunchwood Sports Res. Michael Sadler score two of the Trent goals, Clayton Moore and Jack Shillcock scored the others. David Mackie replied for Haunchwood. 

Phoenix Utd’s third win in four games keeps them top of Raihan’s Indian Takeaway Division Four. Bedworth Bank are in second, two points further back, after they drew 4-4 with New Baron Lions. Jack Price and Matty Skraga both scored twice for Griff & Coton Manor Res as they beat Lamb & Flag Res 6-0. Jacob Myton and Andrew Ratcliffe completed the scoring.  White Hart FC drop to fifth after going down 3-0 to Bermuda Park. Ashley Mantack, Ryan Healy, and Stefan Gradzinski scored the Bermuda goals. Jason Swaine came off the bench to score twice for Conny Panthers as they drew 3-3 with Coniston Tavern Res. Lewis Taylor scored the other Panthers goal, Harry Davies scored twice in reply for Coniston, Kieran Clayton their other goal.
