The League Three Challenge Trophy was first played for in the League in season 1972-73. The competition is "Open" to all Member Clubs "of League Three". The winners in 2022-2023 were DESFORD CATERPILLAR FC, who picked up the trophy for the 1st time, in beating BERMUDA PARK FC on penalties after 4 - 4 Draw..

Rumour Mill (Barwell) FC received a BYE in ROUND ONE.

In Round Two, Rumour Mill (Barwell) FC edged out Hinckley Wanderers FC to earn a place in the other Semi Final.

The Semi-Final saw them take on SS Bulls Head FC for a place in the final. In a tense encounter goals from were enough to see them progress 5-0.

In Round Two Royal Trent saw off Bedworth Bank FC to win 3-1.

Semi-Final, Newdigate Utd FC secured their place in the Final after a 0-0 draw, but winning it 5-4 on penalty kicks over Weddington Athletic FC.
